Lacquered

On February 24, 2016 Dominik Mareš opened his exhibition in the ECOart SALON ROLLAND. He named it aptly „Lacquered shoes“. I have never tried to place my works in a space where people go to make themselves more beautiful. In a way, therefore, working with Rolland is a challenge for me and a personal test of how I can adjust to a predominantly female space.

I deliberately chose abstract images where pink dominates. And the key series is actually made with nail polish that my friends gave me. I've used more than 60 of them. Of course, the title Lacquers has many other meanings, but let everyone discover these for themselves during their visit of the exhibition," says Dominik Mareš. "If the ladies would like to bring their nail polish to the grand opening and become part of one of my other paintings, I would be very happy!
